Warranty
All parts bought from Superstar Components come with a 2 year warranty guaranteeing parts are free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two years after original purchase unless otherwise stated below. The warranty is non-transferable and valid to the original purchaser of the product only, proof of purchase will be needed so don’t throw away your receipts/invoice.
Like all guarantees this does not mean that all parts are indestructible. This warranty does not cover wear and tear or damage caused by crashes, bike transport, improper use or poor installation. Cyclists should regularly check they bike for damage and that parts are correctly installed.
All parts have a finite lifetime and this is determined by the manner the part is used, maintenance and conditions of use.
1. All cartridge bearings have a finite lifetime. Bearings that fail due to contamination, misuse, improper installation, or lack of maintenance are not covered under warranty even if failure occurs within two years from date of purchase.
2. Parts which have been modified, neglected or poorly maintained are not covered under warranty
3. Damage from causes other than defects in materials and workmanship such as a user’s lack of skill, competence or experience is not covered under warranty.
4. The finish or aesthetics of the product are not covered under this warranty.
5. Normal wear to the product is not covered under warranty. Components may have symptoms of wear in less than two years depending on amount of use, type of use and other conditions. This includes products that have reached the end of their normal life expectancy.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Returns
Please use the return form here for all returns. Returns without returns forms may not be accepted. Postage for returns must be paid for by the customer, unless the product is found to be faulty. Please note the postage cost on your returns form for refunding and include reciept. We cannot refund after the warranty has been dealt with if the request is not noted on returns form. We will refund upto £6.50, please contact us if it is costing more than this and we will arrange the pickup. We do not refund for timed services such as express/courier and special delivery. We are not liable for any goods damaged or lost in your possession till they arrive with us.   Please make sure that the correct postage is attached along with your return address, as any package which is not delivered because of insufficient postage will not have the Royal Mail fine paid. This may cause the package to get lost in the post for weeks/months or permanently lost. We recommend you use recorded delivery and get proof of postage to cover you in case of loss.

Faulty goods must be returned with a returns form explaining in detail all the issues and setup information. All parts unless stated otherwise have a 1 year manufacturers warranty, parts such as bearings are classed as wear and tear parts and are not covered unless they are faulty from new. Parts which are returned for warranty inspection and are classed as wear and tear will only be returned at cost to the customer.

Goods returned without fault will be refunded at the purchase price, only if they are returned in a saleable condition within 7 days under your rights to cancel. Any damage caused by poor packaging on your behalf, will cause your refund to be refused. Your postage costs will not be refunded.
 
Pricing 
 
 Prices include VAT (Value Added Tax)* at the standard UK rate of 17.5%. VAT does not apply to orders that are to be shipped outside the E.U. or to Tax Free areas such as the Channel Islands. These areas will be priced and billed with VAT deducted automatically.
If you select a delivery country outside the E.U., prices will be displayed VAT free.
While we do our best to ensure prices are up to date and correct, errors may occur and in this case you will be contacted before your order is shipped.
Depending on stock levels we reserve the right to change our prices and special offers. Published materials will be correct at the time of publishing, but new items and new batches of existing products may vary in price.
 
 Payment 
 
Superstar Components Ltd accept most major credit cards for online orders via Paypal. You will be asked to enter your card details and the name and the address of the card holder when you place the order. These details will be checked and we may hold an order until we receive the correct details. You will be contacted if we find the card or address details to be incorrect. We only bill your card when your order is ready to be dispatched for phone orders (Orders paid for using Paypal will be charged in full, this will include the cost of any out of stock items. If there is a stock issues or other problem, you will be contacted and your wish for a refund or alternative will be processed as soon as possible.)

For offline orders Superstar Components Ltd accept (£) Sterling Postal Orders, Personal Cheques. We recommend that you do not send cash through the post. Due to varying Exchange Rates all payments made to Superstar Components Ltd must be in UK Pounds (£) Sterling. Any costs involved if this is not adhered to will be billed before the goods are released.

PAYPAL  is a simple, quick and secure way of paying online. Superstar Components do not deal with your credit card information and it is transferred using an SSL encryption on Paypals site. You can either use your paypal account, or any without an account by clicking on the left hand side of the Paypal payment screen and use the pay with card function.
 
Credit Card Security 
 
We take online security extremely seriously and have taken several steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially and accurately.

Paypal offer the use of secure servers where information is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the industry standard encryption technology. SSL works with Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL and other browsers. This encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information that you send us.

When your order is processed your encrypted credit card number is removed from the web server.

This means that there is no way that someone can obtain your credit card number from Superstar Components Ltd so you can order with confidence!

Privacy Policy 
 
Superstar Components Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy. When you make an online order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, credit card billing address, delivery address, and associated details. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you about your order status. We will also require a land line telephone number in case we need to contact you and for international orders this number may be given to our couriers in order to help with the delivery of your goods. You have trusted us by giving us these details and Superstar Components Ltd promise not to use these details for any other reason other than processing your order or informing you about the products and services of Superstar Components Ltd. We will not pass any of your details on to third parties for profit or otherwise.

If you have an account but do not wish to receive weekly E-mails regarding the products and services of Superstar Components Ltd you can select no newsletters in your profile.
 
Cookies 
 
 Cookies are tiny text files, which are stored on your computer and the Superstar Components Ltd website uses these files to remember what currency you want to view the site in, what items are in your basket and various other things which are all in place to make the site easier to use. All shopping websites use cookies and without them the site would not work. 

Stock Levels 

Superstar Components Ltd updates the availability of the entire stock list constantly. Items that are Out Of Stock will be displayed as such. In the rare event of a problem with availability of a product marked In Stock, we will contact you. You may then wish to cancel the order or wait until the item becomes available. Often this is due to your cart contents being out of date with respect to our stock levels.
 
 Out of Stock Orders 
 
There are times when items become temporarily Out Of Stock, and these items are marked as such in the site. If you order an Out Of Stock product, we will send out the order to you as soon as the product becomes available again. If we cannot source the item we will contact you to inform you. Your credit card will not be debited until we dispatch the product. If you pay by Paypal you will be contacted.
 
 Ownership of Information 
 Superstar Components Ltd creates the majority of pictures and descriptions for the website. This information is copyright of Superstar Components Ltd and may not be used by any other party without express permission of Superstar Components Ltd. The Superstar Components Ltd website is provided for use only for viewing by an end user. Taking of any content or prices by automated processes, such as spidering, will be deemed as a breach of copyright and is expressly forbidden except where specifically agreed with the Superstar Components Ltd or where Superstar Components Ltd had expressly requested the process.
 
 Accuracy of Information 
 
We put a lot of time and effort into describing and photographing the products we sell using manufacturers websites, catalogues, our own photography studio and often our own descriptions of the products. Although we aim that every picture and description is 100% accurate, mistakes do occur so let us know if you see or read something that isn’t correct. If you have purchased something based on a picture or description on the website which turns out to be incorrect we will be happy to replace or refund the product (unused).

 Changes 
 
If we decide to change our Terms and Conditions, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
